What To Expect From Treatment

The first step in getting treatment is determining a diagnosis, with assistance from a counselor or medical provider. Your family or friends may have inspired you to seek out medical intervention. Whatever the reason for seeking help, the counselor or medical provider may also be able to offer recommendations for the best course of treatment. Depending on the diagnosis, and the severity of your symptoms, the recommended course of treatment may involve medication, therapy, a rehab facility, etc. Here’s what you might expect while you go through treatment.

  • Expect a Challenge: Your treatment journey will not always be easy or straightforward. No matter what your diagnosis, you will be challenged physically, emotionally and psychologically.
  • Expect Discomfort: Recovery and treatment can be embarrassing and eye-opening. Beyond just being difficult or challenging, it can be an emotional roller-coaster ride.
  • Expect a Community: The treatment process can be long and painful, but it can also be rewarding, inspiring, and powerful.

Whatever your diagnosis or experiences, Warner Parker Recovery Center is set-up to offer individual treatment that will (hopefully) exceed your expectations.

What Is Treatment?

Treatment is the managed care and intervention often associated with any type of illness, addiction or other trauma. Depending on the specialization of the treatment facility, the team will design a protocol to meet your specific medical and psychological requirements. Treatment is most effective if you feel safe and connected into a network of supportive individuals and resources.

Programs That We Offer

PHP

Partial Hospitalization Program Partial Hospitalization Program PHP serves as a transitional phase of treatment. PHP is primarily designed to help bridge the gap between the inpatient and outpatient phases of treatment. PHP treatment provides a level of therapeutic support which is similar in scope to the inpatient setting.

IOP

Intensive Outpatient IOP treatment is the most frequently utilized level of care in an outpatient setting. IOP can be regarded as a step down from PHP, or as an independent level of care. Similar to PHP treatment in clinical and therapeutic services, IOP treatment provides clients with a less rigorous schedule.

OP

Outpatient Treatment OP treatment is the final phase in an outpatient setting. OP can be regarded as a step down from IOP treatment and is often utilized to help clients fully transition into complete independence from the outpatient treatment setting.

How Warner Park Recovery Can Help

The Warner Parker Treatment Center is dedicated to offering the individualized care and support that you need to make a change in your life.  We flexible pragmatic options include Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), and Outpatient. Your individual treatment plan may include several (or all) of the following therapeutic protocols.

Also known as counseling or psychotherapy, individual therapy is designed to offer one-on-one treatment with a certified and trained therapist or medical provider. While you may start out with individual therapy as part of your treatment plan, your therapy may be supplemented, replaced or enhanced by other therapeutic activities as you move forward with your diagnostic treatment and recovery.

There are a number of reasons why you might prefer group therapy or psychotherapy. This type of therapy allows you to interact with others who are struggling with the same problems, whether it be substance abuse, depression, social anxiety, etc. Group therapy is an effective way to facilitate a supportive and participatory dynamic in treatment, while integrating variant viewpoints and valuable feedback. Beyond simply building a support network, this type of treatment encourages each member to talk about his or her experience, but also listen to and respond to others. It also helps to broaden the perspectives of every member of the group, while offering specific coping skills and life lessons that are often just not possible in counseling or individual therapy dynamics.  It’s a great way to get a sense of hope (that you will get through this), but also gain an education in the realities of your diagnostic condition.

Recreational therapy focuses on activity-based interventions to address illness, substance abuse, or other conditions. The premise of recreational treatment is that arts & crafts, drama, sports, dance & movement, games, and music best supports your emotional, physical, mental health and well-being. Therapeutic activities target your real-life interests and translates them into healthy outcomes

The goal with medication management is for you and your medical provider to carefully manage and continue to fine-tune the medication prescribed to manage your diagnostic condition. Part of the management process is not only to regulate your own personal interaction to the prescription, but also to be educated and aware of what the medication is, what it does, and how it is being used to manage your symptoms. Depending on your treatment plan and your personal situation, your family and friends may also be part of the medication management process.
