Warner Park Recovery Center – Woodland Hills Mental Health

The Different Forms of Addiction Treatment

Warner Park Recovery is a California mental health and substance abuse program located in Woodland Hills. What makes Warner Park Recovery Center different and more vital than any other rehabilitation service is the dual diagnosis program, which treats both mental health impairments and addiction.  A dual diagnosis integrative approach is needed if a  person has two primary chronic illnesses.  The treatment of both disorders will promote the recovery process and provide the required critical insight into the recovery of the addicted person employing individual and group therapy, medication management, and therapeutic recreational activities. Warner Park Recovery Center treats individuals in Woodland Hills, Calabasas, Topanga Canyon, The Valley, and Thousand Oaks.

The Perspective Of Warner Park Recovery Center

Those individuals with mental health and addictive problems must be treated as individuals with appropriate mental health and addiction treatment.  They require particularized treatment based on their needs to break the cycle of addiction. Therapy is tailored to achieve success by employing a variety of techniques and perspectives designed to keep their trust and confidence ethically.

Levels Of Care – The Physical and Emotional Benefits of Inpatient Drug Rehab.

Warner Park Recovery Center offers partial day, intensive outpatient, and outpatient levels of care.

A. Partial Day – Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)

This service is a transition between the inpatient and outpatient treatments. The PHP, which is a highly structured program, and is similar to the support provided by the inpatient service.  Drug addiction recovery is a gradual adjustment through the recovery process as a result of the need for comprehensive therapy and medical detox.  PHP offers a link to full recovery, while inpatient service may be necessary because of the difficulty of solving the significant psychological and emotional problems that were the basis for the drug addiction.   Treatment is up to five to six hours to a day and three to five times a week, including group therapy and weekly review and evaluation with a psychiatrist. A release from a hospitalization would still require outpatient treatment by the medical and therapeutic staff, which would include twenty-four-hour supervision to guard against a relapse, which could be life-threatening.  During this transition phase, there is also the threat of seizures and such side effects as heart attacks.

B. Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)

IOP treatment, while less stringent than PHP,  is considered an independent level of care while providing clinical and therapeutic services. The caregiver prepares the addicted person to return to the real-world and is a more cost-benefit form of therapy, which permits a person to try out what was learned in a structured therapeutic environment principally through group therapy sessions.   These sessions are semi-structured to permit group members to communicate and socialize with people with the same issues and challenges in an honest and trusting environment.  IOP treatments are designed to maintain positive family relationships and employment in the comfort of their homes and their beds.

C. Outpatient Treatment (OP)

OP treatment is the goal of drug rehabilitation, which is independence from the constant need for drugs and therapy to address the disillusionment with life.  However, Warner Park Recovery is just a phone call away, but recovery is still tenuous, and outpatient treatment is still necessary.  Leaving an IOP is a milestone measure of success, but there is always the chance of a relapse that requires scheduling “checkups” or more formal and traditional therapy sessions.
